What do you mean by "best" and what do you mean by "specs"?

The FJ20 is arguably the best four cylinder production engine ever made.

Best at what?
Do you want an engine thats low in price to buy & build, easiest to fit, most powerfull, most reliable, easiest to work on, lightest,... what?

Different engines have different good & bad points, so you need to know what you want in this new engine, then look for the features that you want in each one untill you find the one that best suits your needs.

so a sr20 will fit in a 720 ute??

Some people have squeezed them into 1200's & the engine bay in a 720 is positively huge by comparison, so I suppose the answer is,... Yes.

As Sidedraught wrote, the FJ20 is as good as it gets for outright strength. They weigh a little more than the SR20, but you have a truck to put it in,.. right.
As for performance, either the SR or the FJ will have enough to scare the crap outa you in something with a light rear, like an empty truck.
