The 720 is a truck. It may come as a pickup, a flatbed, or with a special body, but it's not a ute. The 1200, however IS a ute. Different bodystyle altogether.

Hmmm? Nissan seemed to have called all these following different body styles pick-ups,

But then what would they know?

Yes everyone knows you have a 1984 720 ute. I say go with the SR20DET or bigger.
I wouldnt bother going any smaller in engine size in your 1984 720 ute.

defiantly keep it original and go with a cordia turbo or sigma turbo.

you should be able to put what ever ####ing engine you want your 1984 720 ute, god knows if a vg30 fits in a 1200 then it will fit in the 1984 720 ute. nearly all engines have there good points (some just the price)... it all depends what the ute is being built for.

crusing, burnouts, drags, track work. specify what the ute will be doing and how much you wanna spend.

any thing fits any where, i have seen alot of movies on the net that prove this.

Right, Nissan called the B120 a pick-up, a truck and in Aus, a ute. What does that have to do with a 720?

If 720datoute was in North America, I'd say fit a Chevy V8, like this one.

However, it seems that in Australia the government is protecting you from poorly converted vehicles, so you are not allowed to do things like this.
