It's good to see someone getting stuck in to all that hard work...from the comfort of my Computer chair. Where in Melbourne is your workshop?

What timeframe have you given yourself to get this thing finished and are you sure you'll really want to sell it once you've finished?

yeah thats a bloody good question...
i dont see the point in doing all that hard work and then selling it without enjoying it for a few years or so....

hahahaha yes call me crazy if you like but this is what i do,i do cars up and sell them,at present im driving a ke55 toyota corolla that serves its purpose ,but ive always wanted a datsun ute with a rotary in it,so maybe one day ill get round to doing that ,
so maybe you could call this a learning curve to gain a bit of knoledge on the old datsuns before i build my own personal one???what ever ,im building this to sell and the way things are going at the moment its gona me an awsum ute well worthy of a datsun fan,so keep watching for all the details maybe you would like to buy it?????????

time frame to do this is ::there is no time frame!!! it will be done when its done pretty much ,or tho i work pretty hard core, none of this ill do a few hours on a saturday ####,i go hard so expect to see every week end more postings !!!!

ive started to pull down the engine and its getting treated to a rebuild, and tidy up,starting with the alternator this week

may post some pics up if i can find a good one,if you seen the pics of my bonnet hinges then this will be pretty much the same as that but it takes a hell of a lot longer, never mind it will get done,

This is a great thread mate. I love watching a project come along. Especially painfully detailed ones with heaps of pics of before and after pics :)

Keep it going!

well heres a shot of the front part of the alternator after it has been cleaned and then sanded with 180,240,320,and 400,

i stil have to sand with 800 1200 and 1500 but you can see that it is cleaning upo well and should come up reasonable espesicaly if you consider the original condition of the casing!!! Open in new window
