hi mark,
i guess you heard it before but the cheapest and seemingly best conversion is the CA18DET. i have a 1200 coupe with this in and have built 4 others for people. A series would be expensive to get reliable hp from and transmission to carry power is near impossible to find.

Naw, the A15 is the easiest and best engine for a 1200

You can turbo a stock A15 if you keep the boost reasonable. But, since you are "boost junkie", you might as well put the CA18DET in ... that is much better for high boost. And light enough to keep the 1200 handling well.

Don't forget to consult the Club Engine tech section. It has some swap info, and discusses the "best engine" topic.

all i can suggest is to contact me direct as there are a lot of options you can take that range from mild to wild, you definitely have the right donor engine!!! is it ok to post emails etc here?
