ok now we lay the old trim on the nice fresh masonite wood, the stuff im using has a white covering on one side,i find this helps with marking lines and holes etc but it really doesnt mater,

so we lay the old trim on this new wood and mark around the trim and mark the holes also......

well ive never had the fibre glass trims so i wouldnt know but this way is very cheap and pretty much spot on as you are taking a direct tracing of the original trim so hopefully your holes should line up reasonably well !!!! well they should if you do it right,

so next part is to cut out the foam making it a bit bigger than the trim..........

ok having done all that we now get out the good old spray glue and spray the hole trim, get a fair bit on there but try not to get it around the clip holes or you may find it hard to replace the clips later on!!!,

wait a minute or so for the glue to tack off then place the foam on the glue and press down and let it sit for a few minutes to set ,

once set you can trim off the excess with scissicors..........

well thats about it for tonight more tomorrow nite hopefully ,

hopefully some one will get some use out of this ,its very easy and can make your interrior look real good !!!!!

Very helpful. I was about to do this myself after I finish putting in the central locking.

Having problems finding the right fabric though :(
