If you paint your car black be prepared to wash it every second day. I own a dark blue falcon and thast is even a pain in the arse to keep clean.

That price is almost too good to be true , I might tow my car up there when its ready to be done

As for the colour I quite like pale golds and pale greens on older cars, it makes them look classy I reckon.

Ever tried to repair a scratch in a Candy Apple paint job? The only real way is to remove the panel [if removeable] & repaint the whole thing, then hope like crazy that you matched it correctly.

This would be a good example of a failed colour match.
It may not be obvious to colour blind persons.

yep candy (apple is used for a term to efine the red and gloss of the color finish usually) , harlequin, prismatech and other finishes are almost impossible to match if scratched or dented etc.
Some glitter and pearls are almost as hard to match, and you can always see the difference in the application as it never sprays the same...

I would suggest a plain color, metalic if you want even eith maybe a single pearl layer if the painter is good with these finishes...

you may find at that price the beat job prob wont be too good and cos its black youll see every ####ty dent fix up. i still think white with a silver fleck, like on suburu's. and as 4 the checker plate in my opinion it looks tacky, for about the same price you could put a cheap leather on a skin.

Antarctic white or pastel green, even poo brown would be the perfect colours.

i reckon you should paint it in datsun racing colours. pearls are to hard to match and if you have a daily driver then a basic colour is the go. eg. my neighbour is gettin his hot rod painted atm and steered away from pearls as he plans on driving it alot

pearls are not that hard to match if they are single layer.... multi layers are the ones to worry about. Just putting ideas out there.

I went the stock color cause it was nice and basic but with some extra tint to lighten it up a little, was just the thing not to look identical next to anotherorange sedan (boof)
