There is only one part number for the distributor cap on the original Hitachi distributor. [22162- 21007 Assy. Cap] I believe that this cap was used for many years afterward too, but am unable to confirm.

I don't know where the info about two different caps in the 1200 model comes from, but it does not agree with published factory data.

Edit
This cap is a carryover from the Datsun 1000, so it is of course interchangeable onto these as well. [22162- 71300, which superceded to 22162- 21007 & is unconditionally interchangeable]

The rotor button follows a similar path.
22157-71300 became 22157- 78500 during 1000 production, & this was carried into 1200 production.
It then became 22157- H1000 from 8/71
All are unconditionally interchangeable.

If later B120's used a different cap, then they must have used a different distributor model.

I had the same problem with the bosch parts book. I cross referenced the part no. with the late model sunny part no. and bought that one. It worked and i was pleased.

Yeah the Bosch catalouge is kinda inaccurate on Datto parts.

I bought bits from my A14 motor and none of it fit - had to go back and get I think it was N10 parts.....will have to dig up the thread.
