The 1000 uses a completely different clutch arrangement and needs a 1200 bellhousing. I just did it with my 1200 wagon - the box itself is identical to a 1200 4 speed.

I have a Toyota T50 alloy case with a custom adaptor (by me) and Datto auto bellhousing sitting in my shed. the only thing that's stopping me from finishing it is some clutch travel problems which I don't have time to look at yet.

When you consider the $400+ for the Dellow (actually closer to $500 with GST) it's probably still worth it considering that it's easier to get parts for and the cost of the box itself is about $150-200 if you look hard enough...

I just sold a steel case cause it wouldn't fit in the tunnel of my 1000 without mods, but the steelie would be the better option even though they weigh a ton compared to the alloy T50!

The steelcase is shorter and would actually make the clutch problems I'm experiencing a lot easier to tackle.

Its not for my car
I will use the racecar engine and T50 in my wagon
Beattie can bash his floor up........ lol
Would the auto housing be hard to fit to the steelcase box ?
