i picked it up today and i plan on keeping a journal with pics n stuff. i went thru all the stuff i got with it, wrote done what there is and took photos of it so if i decided i dont want certain parts i can either sell them or scrap them...

the bonnet is defibnately going.

what's a good site to use just to post pics so i can themn put them on here?

One of the best way I found to store a description with the pics was to use MS Frontpage - as you can automatically make them thumbnail (shrink to a small pic and grow big again when you click on them).

This is how I started keeping a journal of work - seeing though it was in website format I ended up publishing it to the web for easy access at work...(oops did I just let the cat out of the bag).

Anyway it was a real easy way to organise pics....maybe you could have a go at that?

~ Picked up the 1200 Ute shell from Mt. Annan.

~ Big Dramas on the way home. The tape used to secure the bonnet down snappedcausing the bonnet to fly upand hit the roof of the car.We pulled over about 200mts away from a servo, and purchased 2 rolls of heavy duty tape and used it to secure the bonnet.

~ The bonnet which was in really good nic - only had a small dent near the front - was now pretty close to being bent in half. When we got home we managed to get it as straight as we could by steppig on it ( it was removed and thn laid on the front) hence popping most of it back into shape but is now useless to us not that it really matters, as we really want a GX bonnet.

gx bonnets are possible to get, i've had two, sold them on though as not my favorite look (prefer stock with a scoop)

lucky it didnt wreck the roof

30-1-2007:

~ Had Kane from A.D. Car Care (in Kellyville) come up after work to have a look at the car and give us a few pointers form a mechanics point of view and some tips n stuff, he said by the time its finished i will know every type of sand paper there is!!!!

31-1-2007:

~ Luke had started to rub back the A-pillar for me whilst i was doing a few things. Had apent about an hour or so working on it til i rang to say my battery was dead..as in wouldn't jump-start dead!!....

~ When i got home we started to cover the area surrounding the a-pillar that was to be primered (spelling?) only to find the primer in the can had dried up with the heat! and so Luke had to go and grab a new can from the shops..he got back n we sprayed a few times.

~ Finnally i actually did something to the car..i started to rub back the surface rust, on the Rear Driverside Panel, until it was too dark to work properly, whilst luke worked on the surface rust arround the shaved tonneau hooks.

~ Applied Rust convertor a twice and that was it for today!!!

~ The pics are after the primer and also the rust convertor was applied
