well it has taken abit of an effort to get this cover on,after a bit of a drama with what i thought i was doing was right when in fact it wasnt, thanks boss for ####ing me over!!!!hahaha no its all good now after sorting a couple of things out and correcting the plates i can now say i have the lid on and working well 80 percent any way,

heres what i had to change the plate i had was just a plate of steel with the strut ball throught it when in actual fact i needed an angle iron sort of thing ,so i got some more steel and the boss""kindley welded it up for me"think he felt guilty about given me the wrong directions !!!! any way enuf of that ,heres the pics

well a pretty disapointing day today, managed to get all the cables and things fitted up but havnt had much luck in making them do what there suppose to,a bit fiddly ,so after to day ive decided to go with a twin solinoid option for unlatching the cover and some how make an emergency cable or something, not to happy about it,but any way thats what im going to do will update maybe next week ,this week has been a lot of stuffing around with getting the cover to fit so im going to have a it of a break, back into it soon tho............

well i was supose to have a break but this thing has been anoying me so i thought id go and have another go at the cables ,

and still after a few hours i wasnt having much luck!!!!!!! was getting very pissed of about the hole thing so i decided to rip them out and try a different aproach,

so ive gone with the basic idea and principles from central locking set ups ,basicly i used a central locking kit and used 2 solinoids and the wiring with relay, made up 2 lenghts of brass wire into arms and then drilled another hole into the locking mechinisums(sorry scott but it had to be done!!!)then removed the return springs as they were cancelling out my efforts, attached it all up and wired it all to gether, and after several hours of stuffing around we have GREAT SUCESS!!!!!!!!!hahaha well they bloody well worked so i was quite happy about the hole thing, idea turns to reality!!!groovy !!! also i think im going to be able to set these up so that the alarm remote control will be able to unlock and lock the set up (heres hoping ) so heres the pics nothing to exciting but finaly something went right after putting it together.................

so there you can sort of see the solinoid mounted with the new wire arm going up to the lock ,chick chock and a way we go!!!!!!

so there you go another tiny thing sorted out ,now i just got to get the cables set up or something else thats going to work for my set up ,just as an emercency release ,
also as the battery is going in the tray some where ,im going to wire something so that the power wires to the solinoids can also be gotten to from inside the cabin, just in case of a flat battery, but more on that set up later on ,so thats me for the weekend hope everyones enjoying the read, getting any good ideas off this thread????hope so ,
my brain has been working over time on this build figuring this and that so hopefully at the end of the day it will all come together rather well ,
