What is the minimum brake upgrade required for a 1.6turbo motor in a 1971 1200 ute?????????????????????????????????
It came out with drum all round...
Would any disc brake on the front be passed by engineer as any disc brake is an upgrade????????????????????????????/

Engineer told me that the datto must have equal or better braking power than the car the engine came out of. In most cases you'll only need disc brakes on the front as 1200's are considerably lighter than most late model cars (therefore easier to pull up).
Get yourself some datsun disc brake struts (120Y, 180B, Stanza, etc.) and use the 1200 ute diff. This should make the conversion easier as there are less mods required, but would still satisfy most engineers.
