Hay all

new member i found this site through DAT51k i have just bought my self a 1976 1200 ute with an A12 but lumpy cam and alot of suspenion work... its way to LOW at the back... and in the morning it sounds like a rotor... i love the car but it was a big difference from a 2003 mazda sp20 to a 76 datto... still trying to get use to the manual CHOKE

Welcome to the forum. This is where you can learn all about the simple mechanical function of the manual choke & how your input to its operation will have a direct bearing on the quality of your Datsun driving experience. Ahhh, crap with all that, just pull the bloody thing out when cold & remember to push it in in stages when you start driving. It's all good.

welcome mattyk and ryan dont worry about your 1200 looks much better than mine when i got it, at least yours has panels on it and you have 6-8 years like you said. My mum wants mine sent off to get painted by the end of next week so she can have her garage back. Good luck to both of you with your dattos

HAY MATTY if you dont like having the choke with only a few minor mods you can bolt on a pulsar auto choke carby and it make life so much easier
