Well I don't mind the looks at all. I think I could live with it, although I would agree that the frontal styling & the general body styling makes for a mixed metaphor.
These cars are completely different from the firewall forward, ... including the firewall & trans tunnel which is optimised for the larger trans.
They are definitely 40mm longer in the wheelbase as well as being longer from the radiator forward. Even the cowl panel is different. Nothing in the steering or suspension carries the same part number as a 1200 either & yes, I have spent several hours comparing my two parts books. [B110 & PB110]
A GX coupe version with everything fitted to an L18 engine plus a later 63 series 5 speed would be a really nice car to be cruising in.
These use an H165 differential, so I suspect that the whole rear end is based on the same one as the Utility uses [or vice versa]
Judging from the steering wheel, this one's a GL.
