My favourite year would be 2007 because thats when I got the 120y, joined this club, got the two 1500 utes and had fun!

1973 seems to be the pinnacle of Aussie muscle cars and Datsuns I reckon....

bringing up the originality of them, when was the first datsun made? or was it separate from nissan and then of course everyone buys out, sells up and we know the datsun of today by the nissan of yesterday??

It's a little easier decision for those of us in USA:

1971- favorite of manual choke fans. And makes one extra HP

1972- favorite of automatic choke fans. But makes one less HP

1973- favorite of big bumper fans


Btw, 1970 was the musclecar pinnacle in USA (aside from the 1971 351C). It was downhill from there until 1982, then slowly got better. Even Datsuns got worse with the USA "park bench" bumpers.

$$$ for dattos are going up the roof! A 1200 ute with full rego and done up are going out the door for $15000-$30000!!! people are making a tonn of money! I saw a 1500 ute for sale on the way to melb for $7200 now thats money!!!

its ridiculous the prices, rememba that bloke with that yellow datto on carsales? had it up 4 30k, it was done up nice but thats ridiculous i rekon. glad i got mine 4 300 :D

not really into wine so cant say what year and vintage are best.

1981 was a good year though, thats when an a15 was made that no holds pride of place in my engine bay
