I don't know if anybody makes an Independent Rear Suspension suspension small enough to go under there & those that could be modified are usually too bulky to work well under a small & light car like the 120Y

I seem to recall that somebody here was having a go with an Independent Rear Suspension suspension in a 1200 I think, but it was a while ago & I can't recall ever hearing of it being finished.

Hopefully we can find out more about this.

what about gtir rear sub frame. you need to put big flares if u try skyline rear end :)

Pigdog's irs V6 ute runs a 180b irs i am pretty certain there for an r180 and all other gear to go along with that.

plenty drag cars running killer numbers with leaf springs
refine what youve got and save a massive amount of money and grief
cal tracs
ladders bars
even a four link is easier
and lighter
unless you love a challenge...

My 1000 coupe is part way thru an IRS conversion but I'm not in a rush

Its 1600 stuff modified and cut down
And when its all in I'll pull it all out and remake it tubular

But don't expect any updates for awhile
