is the intake where it bolts onto the head on an a14 the same as the A12. or if there are differences what are they and can they be easierly changed?

The A14 A15 has an oval port head so the manifolds holes are oval shaped to match, the A10 A12 have round shaped ports on their heads. They can't be changed. You have one or the other.

Yes, 1967-1973 A-series engine have a different bolt pattern for the intake manifold. So it won't bolt on. 1974-up A12s might have the same bolt pattern (?) but the round vs. oval ports make it a bad swap.

Some A14s have round-port heads, but the ports are reportedly higher up.
