This is not for a 1200, rather a car at an auction in the US that I want to steal parts from to put in my 1200!

Its listed as a 1980 Datsun station wagon, they gave me a vin# of "WHLA10100309" supposedly one needs 17 digits for a complete vin. I'm wondering if there's a web site that lists vin's & breaks them down according to model #'s.

anybody know what a 210 series vin would start with?

thanks!

Evan,
What ya got there is a 510 wagon built between 7/79 and 8/80. that vin# may actually be a model # as it should have 17 digits being a 1980 model.

210 vin #'s start as follows (B310)
sedan: HLB310
Coupe: KHL310
Wagon: WHLB310

Don't know about a website for vin's sorry.

Kelly

This is a VIN, but not the new "standardized" VIN system that started in 1980 (17-digit VIN).

It is a Nissan-specific VIN:
W = wagon
H = optional (larger) engine (L16)
A10 = Nissan A10 1978-1981 (Datsun 510, aka Stanza in other countries)

<--- Wiki Clicky, search for VIN

Drat!!! Was hoping it was a 210 w/a 5 spd.

I did search the wiki for 210 series info, just not vin info, go figure...

A side note - some dumb ass tried to break into my shop recently, didn't get in, minor damage to my door, security system going in very soon. You know I can replace the tools but I'd be pissed if they stole my 1200 or my motorcycles, they'd be damned hard to replace!

Thanks guys!
