Find an auto with a blank plate or make one.

i should have been more specific. ok, the sedan was auto, but have put the manual box in, and need to get rid of the plate that covers the holes in the fire wall for the clutch cable to attatch to the pedal. dunno how to go about it though?!

Are you sticking with A series and cable clutch? If so you will need the correct plate with the sleeve for the cable adjustment.

yeah A series, and standard cable. got all the parts i need, i pulled it from my wagon. just dont know how to get the plate off. if i just drill through the plate for the three holes i need, plus the oval hole and leave the rest of the plate on, will that extra couple of mm's matter?
