are you sure about that? doesn't make much sense to me. Its a IPRA race car and the capacity classes are 0-1600cc, 1601-2000cc... you are allowed 2% tolerance on the max capacity, so you can run in 0-1600cc with a 1632cc engine.

It makes absolutely no sense as a racer to exceed that by 60cc and then have to compete against much larger displacement cars with capacities up to 2040cc.

it would be two thirds of stuff all different in output to the a slightly smaller engine which would then be at the upper limits of the 0-1600cc capacity limits and be much more competitive.

I think the old chinese whispers are coming into play.


Apparently my memory is way off, Johns engine is 1608cc not 1700cc and Jeff has never heard of a 1900cc Mazda cranked A series, and doubts it would be possible.
