Hi everyone,

I'm thinking hard about selling my 1200 Coupe project...I just haven't got enough spare time to rebuild her. My original intention was to turn the Coupe into a Motorkhana/Hillclimb/Sprint car for my son but lack of time is forcing me into posting this! It originally had an 2.6 Astron Engine and 5 Speed Gearbox in it but we took that out to put an A12 and 4sp in.

The Coupe needs a fair bit of work to finish. At the moment, it is stripped to a rolling bare shell (steering, front & rear suspension still attached).

The Rust:

- Both sills will need to be replaced (they were bodged previously by the look of them)
- There is rust in the side of the footwells just above the floor..hard to explain..inner sill..you know, below the hinges (hope it makes sense)
- Both sides of the bulkhead have a small bit of rust
- Small bit of rust (approx 2in wide) at the base of the windscreen (drivers side)

The Better:

- Both doors and bootlid are pretty good
- Front left guard has a small dent
- Right guard ok (both guards have rolled edges)
- Bonnet has a few small dents
- Rest of car is basically straight

The car was drivable when bought (out of reg by 3 mths) so it is more or less complete and will come with the following:

- Shortened Stanza struts with King Springs, R31 Inserts, Calipers and Rotors
- Nolathane Bushes throughout
- Alloy radiator
- H145 Diff
- 120y Roll Bar
- Honda Civic Front Buckets
- Almost complete interior (no centre console or carpet)
- All exterior bits..bumpers, grille, lights etc
- Extra Rear and Side Windows in excellent condition
- Extra spare chrome trim...windows, bonnet etc
- 4 x 14" Nissan Pulsar ET Wheels in good condition
- 4 x 15" Magna SE Alloy wheels in good condition
- 2 x 13" Steel Rims in average condition
- 2.6L Astron engine in good running order
- 5sp Sigma Gearbox

I was thinking of a price around $900 for the above. I'm not sure if I'm dreamin' but I guess you guys will let me know. I have other mechanical bits that were bought later...engines, gearbox, wheels etc. I'll most likely sell them seperately (not until the Coupe is sold anyway). Like I said in the title, selling will depend on the interest I get.

Look forward to your comments and if you would like some pics, PM me your email address and I'll email them.

Cheers

Paul

PS. Apologies for the lengthy post.

The car looks like it has the original tunnel but the mounts were cut off to accomodate the 5sp. There is also a cut out about 20cm back from the original gearlever hole...the 5sp is a bit longer than the original box!

Sorry luvdat, I have no A15 parts.

Nope, no one from this site. I didn't get any positive interest from anyone (apart from one query). Anyway, a good friend of mine bought it. He was looking for a project to do after retiring from motorbike racing. It might have sounded like it was in bad shape but in reality, it was quite good, certainly no worse than half the 1200's I've seen advertised on this website.

Cheers
