Has anyone bought cam gears for the CA and had any dramas or good results? i see alloy ones for sale on ebay and wondered if anyone has bought and used them??

Any recommendations when it comes to adjustable cam timing??

hey mitch thanks for the cooler looks awesome.
yeah had a mate with a set in his 1200 coupe not too sure what brand they were but for the amount of money they are worth (relatively cheap) they are a pretty good bolt on upgrade pretty sure when he had it tuned he gained 10-12 kw just from the gears. dont quote me on that though

hey there be carefull with the ebay gears because i bought a set and the look like they fit and they say there ca but really there rb25det ones the difference is there heaps wider and wont bolt up best thing to do i know its expensive is buy a set of tomei ones! plus you dont wont somethin like that to fail cause in the end you will punch ya valves into ya head if it does fail!

rb 25/26 one offset
rb30 different again
ca18 another offset
NOT interchangable despite same no of teeth
worth doing but they are expensive
i'm going to make a set for mine

one way to setup is to change timing then do a compression test . max compression is the sweet spot. you need to know your limits either way for piston to valve clearance
