I have learnt over the years to have the parts first, then procrastinate over doing the job. Then at least you are not left high and dry when you are a U bolt short.

I remember being caught out almost exactly the same.

I had 2 HG Holden's, one was a parts car and lowered, I pulled apart the daily first, then the bolts turned out to be bent and no good on the donor, then putting the daily back together one of the bolts snapped. Yay. At least they were standard bolts and not U bolts. Nobody was open though. So I consulted the "Magic Bucket". Turns out had the right bolt to do the lowering job to start with, So the daily comes apart again and gets lowered. End result, Acted thrice, thought once. That's what you get for being stoned and bored on a Sunday.

the shop is "OPEN" till 12 not we shut at "11:50"
they put these times on the doors and tell people these times so that they can get there before they shut.

If you had wanted him to be 'open till 12:00' then turning up a little earlier might have meant that he was going to service your needs if you were 'still there' at noon, but you know, if business is slow, well, we all like to get home when we can.

I work in a retail outlet & can understand how these things happen. Some days I'm there several hours after closing time, some days I'm not.
