I decided on going 2" how many rings do I cut off the front spring? Going with blocks for the back.. thanks

i would say 2 coils if ur going to cut the front springs

but u can always just cut them half a coil at a time..

Without preaching, you'll experience the susp bottoming out on the front even more (I got it with stock springs) cutting the spring, even done right does increase the spring rate, but it also lowers the starting height, so believe it or not, it's more likely to bottom out with the same springs cut.

The exception to it is if you adapted springs from anther source with thicker diameter material, and the same number of coils and free length. Cut half a coil off something like that, and you'd have lower ride height but the spring rate would be sufficiently higher that it would be less likely to bottom out than the std spring.

The other option would be to cut the springs but use spacers to regain some of the height, so the spring rate is much higher, and the ride height is higher than it would otherwise be with the cut springs (but still a little lower than stock)

dont cut your springs.... its not just stupid, its dangerous. you can kill people by doing it. dont go cheap, buy some king springs.

Yes, the Australian rules people says it is dangerous. Unfortuntely, we commonly do it in the USA and though I have never heard of anyone getting killed, I'm sure it is happening right and left. Is that your understanding, Amery?

I've had cars with cuts springs damn near all my life and never I never killed anyone or even heard of that lol Where do you get King springs? it wasnt being cheap I just didnt know they sold any for the stock 1200, Again its just for looks I barely drive the car and definitelt dont race it..
