Ok, you have to look at legality too...I doubt you will get a 13B turbo or an FJ20 turbo engineered.

As I understand it, the maximum you can have is 1.8 turbo (Correct me if Im wrong here). As you might as well go the biggest capacity possible, this leaves the CA or BP (or any other 1.8 turbo you can find).

the mazda bp looks appealing. Wots the deal with a 6-cylinder motor in a 1200. I reckon if there was one that was legal in NSW (ie under 2400cc), and would fit, id do it. That would be sweet. loads of torque and wheelbarrows of fun fun fun.

Better yet, do the Mazda twincam conversion. Looks just a cool as the Toyota, but lacks the stigma of the Toyota vs. Nissan rivalry. Seems like there's tons of side to side room (despite the firewall being notched on this ute).

That engine is the FE DOHC

And they are more powerful then the CA18DET in stock form.

The FE-ZE 10.1:1 Compression Ratio devolpes around 170hp compared to the 180 from the CA18DET

The BP is a 4cyl not a 6cyl.

Some other good engine to look into are the KL's by mazda like the KL03 KLZE KFZE :)

Go too mx6.com search for them and should turnup some good results.
