I shouldn't post pics because it'll slow right down once the engine is in [yet to get it running] but here goes, trying to get this done before I buzz off back home again.

Here she is with the engine out, big thanks to the young Danny Boy and Andy for their help. It was funny as getting the engine out.

And a shot of the 1200 ute at the back [Unfamilia - the Enkei rims arrived! >> look left of picture, they're pretty awesome. Must have arrived mid afternoon today ]

I have to put this image in, as the ute is so very, very well done.

Came so close to getting it started today, but decided to hold-off until all the right parts were available/on-site.

Big thanks to Gylezy [The 'CONT'] for all his help, gun-welder is all I can say!

We managed to avoid any cutting and modification of the Tailshaft so it has all come together pretty smoothly. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

I have an entire catalog of pictures so just ask if you're after anything specific.

We didn't have the time to make the reverse switch fit so we ended up cutting and shutting the switch.

Here are some pictures of how the gearbox lines up with the existing bolts holes. Pretty substantial mis-alignment really. I decided to keep to the original gearbox mount holes as I wasn't prepared to bolt through the floor!

And the cutting and filling of the reverse switch. We were spewing we couldn't get it to fit as it was only a matter of 5 or so millimeters but cutting the trans tunnel just wasn't an option.

Most of the switch was sliced with just enough excess to latch a ring spanner onto.

Here are the rims that unfamilia sent to me from Melbourne, thanks again Mik I hope it was worth all the trouble. I'm getting these painted next week, maybe.

im gald those left over tyre bits came off for you. how did you get them off?

also nice mounts, good thinking with the gearbox mount, shame about reverse switch, i have used just a manual switch for reverse some times, 3 cars now, not right but you can stil turn them on to reverse in case you are pulled over.

Glad you asked Mik, Dan's uncle popped round to see how it was all going and he whipped together this contraption to get the beads off, we then cut them off with bolt cutters. I was mighty impressed with the jig.
