I apologise for putting a more serious note in the mix but i was contacted about my 1200 coupe for sale a couple of months ago by a guy named MYLES BOND...

He seemed alright and honest and seemed exceptionally keen on my car. I spent a lot of money on it to get it ready but when asked to pay a deposit, i never heard from him again. I know its not too serious but i only wish to warn my fellow community about this individual.

When i attempted to email and call him, never answered or returned my msgs and his email account has been closed down.

Careful guys....

What? So you're naming & shaming him because he didn't buy your car? That sounds a bit rough on the poor chap.

But I can understand if you spent a fair bit of money to get it ready and he didn't buy, but look at it on the plus side, at least it's ready for a sale now.

Ivan , did you ever sell that GX head that I was chasing off you a while ago? The one that was attached to an engine. Shame you wouldn't separate it.

I had a guy saying he'd buy my GX head but he's not responding now, but it's no biggie, was a very good offer though.

I guess datto guys are just short on cash and very bad savers......I know I am. And it sounds like old mate Myles didn't have the dosh! Consider yourself lucky, have you heard those horror stories about people loosing their cars when buyers take it for a test drive?! I'd never let anyone take my car without me in it.

I was going to give this Myles guy until the agreed upon date (12th of this month) to pick it up. I was going to still keep that date.

I have just been made another offer from a different guy. Should i take this offer?

**Mind you i still hvent received the agreed depsoit from Myles...

Take whoever has the better offer, but get deposits submitted and if they don't show the rest of the cash in 7 or 14 days you keep the deposit and sell the car again.

I'm having the same issue with my GX head, every now and then the bloke pops up and says 'yes, yes, yes I'm keen' then he disappears for weeks. WTF?
