how good are haynes datsun workshop manuals in comparison to gregorys?

any preference? or are they much the same? id like to know which one has more detail.

They are both probably very similar in detail - the factory ones are the best to get hold of if you can.

I'm lucky I've got a couple of 1200 manuals (different publishers), and a Factory Nissan Vanette manual covering the A15 in great detail - it comes in very handy.

Well thats hinting on probably the best advice anyone could give regarding workshop manuals... buy as many as you can!!!. Thats probably what i will do, might even treat it as a hobby!

Yep its much easier to flick through a manual sometimes than it is to search the net.

Even a 120y manual and things like that will come in handy for one reason or another (actually got one of them too )
