Its time i done my build thread on my datsun 1200 ute 13bt turbo project which has been sponsored by MAD DAT MOTORSPORT.

series 4 turbo gearbox
t66 turbo
60 mm pro gate
microtech
will be running on e85
2 bosch 044 fuel pumps with 1700cc indy blues
15x4 and 15x10 convo pros
MAD DAT front coilovers with adjustable strut tops and 300mm rotors, adjustable control arms and castors, sway bar kit, steering box brace, strut brace, etc etc
hilux diff shortened with r31 disc brakes
leaf sprung rear with 2 link
alloy dash with autometer guages
custom trans tunnel to aventually home an auto box
kirkey race seats
6 point andra spec rollcage
tubbed rear


The plan with the car is to have some fun drag racing and take it to all the big events like jamboree powercruise and summernats, i hope to have it finished by jambo this year :?

MAD DAT make a fitting kit to home a series 4/5 turbo motor and gearbox into datsun 1200s. check out there website.They will be stocking parts for mazdas also

holy crap thats awesome.. what are the planned times? low 9's?

over the next 18 months id like it to run a low nine. but eventually i want it to run quicker then that. for now it is still leaf sprung. in a few years i will go 4 link and try to get in the 8s. car will have the power to run the numbers. but still being a manual rx7 gearbox and leaf sprung is where it will struggle to get the low numbers on the board

yeah thats what i was thinking, with a coilover rearend and auto or clutchless box it wouldnt have a problem running in the 8s.. awesome looking ute mate, keen to see updated pics when you have them!

tidy as mate, should be a rocket. Give benny bray/vince rigoli a run haha. Was this the 1200 that was for sale on ebay a few months back? It had the bodyline removed as well, looked similar. Good stuff!
