Hey Rob, rust gone? Mate that's 6 months away the way I'm travelling! Time is the biggest enemy of all of us.
I'm going to a 5 day week soon rather than 6 so might give me a bit more time.

my biggest enemy atm is rust! chewing up my arvo's on this s$#t shoota almost there!
motivation? just think of the first time you take it for a thrash!lol my biggest motivation is i'm sick of driving a turbo deisle van all day!

fully welded tunnel and replace P/s floor.

thanks ed, yeah couldnt wait to get the rust out mate, couldnt sleep! lol. once it's up to mock up i think its gonna slow down.

thanks unfamilia, lol yeah mate were on special at woolies lol.

glad to say all the rust has been cut out and repaired! thank F*#k was really getting under my skin! just gotta clean up a few minor bits and shave the rear end (the utes's not mine!lol) and then can start fitting every thing up. going 4 link coilover rear so thats gonna take a bit of work. not gonna paint until the whole cars complete and running then ill strip it down n paint it.

hey guys, just a quick update.
finished up on the body for now. fitted motor and box and started to mock up 4 link diff etc.
anybody on here have feed back on mcdonald bros racing? and their products.
done some research and they seem to be the go to guys. any info would be appreciated.

Anyone have pic's of DATOOW? done a search on here and theres only one good shot! MINT CAR!

nice progress again Rob.

Just a quick question re: the repro guard.

My ute came with some of these "fitted" and most of the holes barely line up.. is yours the same?

Im having to weld up the old holes and re-drill with nutserts.

Like your engine mounts.

thanks ed, yeah mate their a bit off on some holes and completely off on every other one!
IMO if they dont fit why the F$#k make em? or just make em properly!
seriously considering repairing my originals.
cross member and mounts were off the donor ute, sits wheel in the bay.
