I might be interested in the flanges, can you PM the cost involved?

As a guide I would expect the 4AGE flange to cost $75.00 including postage. Hard one to pick at the moment without solid numbers, the more numbers we get the lower the price gets. I'm working to get a few of spares to help bring the price down.

The design has changed once again to incorporate a lower bridging bar.

This is all going a little pear shaped, I'll be needing more time to try other places. The place I normally go to has been completely unhelpful. So much so that the price for one unit is the same price for an order of ten units! Even with the history of comparatively large orders I have submitted on previous occasions, they still won't budge on price.

Normally the more you buy the more the price drops. Apparently due to the dimensions of the item the cutter cannot do multiple units but has to do 10 one-offs so to speak (confused? yeah me too, I suspect it is just a BS story to avoid having to do such a small order ).

Nevertheless if you are interested please say so, the more numbers the better the price.

Definite BS story. Over pricing is a simple way to NOT get a job should they not like it (too small of a run or they are simply too busy).

There are two reasons why I am looking for a better price.

1) To get a better price for these guys.
2) To make sure there is enough in it for me, my project has stalled and I need funding.

Best price at the moment leaves me absolutely nothing (having mentioned the $75.00 estimate).

Gimme a few more days and I'll see what comes of it here.

Sure thing, if you want to send me their details I can send them a drawing and see how they price things up. Generally laser cutting is very expensive for aluminium to the point that it's almost better to use another form of cutting, so I'm keen to hear what they can do for us.

Last quotes in were very high indeed (laser cut).

I'm sorry to say that isn't going ahead. Not feasible, low numbers, needed like 10 units to make it work.
