thanks guys. Now if I can only get the jetting set properly, its close but it seems like I should be able to get it better, trial & error it seems.

here's that PCV valve setup:

Cannon single side draft intake w/a Weber DCOE 40 - this manifold happened to have a port plugged off with a 1/8" fpt (fine pipe thread) plug & I got lucky at the oddball hardware store (Hardwicks on Roosevelt for the local boys)great store, have all kinds of unusual fasteners, fittings, etc...i always go there when I have a hard time finding anything.

Found a nylon 1/8" FPT x 3/8" hose fitting & screwed it in, attached the PCV which I scrounged at the local O'Reilly's, got a piece of 5/8" fuel vent line & plugged the two together. Had to run the 5/8" hose under hot water first before I could get the PCV valve to fit but it worked.

Seems to work fine.....

Since I'm looking at it I'll explain the accelerator cable - it is a hybrid - I made this out of a toyota cruise control cable I found at the pull a part. I first went looking for a cable with a round ball on the end to fit the Datsun acc. pedal , pretty hard to find.Found the Toyota cable w/a round ball so I took the original Datsun cable apart & kept the screw on bezel that attached to the firewall & epoxied the toyota cable sheath into it. The Toyota cable had that nifty end that worked well with the bracket I fabbed up so then I was able to slip the cable into the new cable housing & secure it to the bracket I'd made. More oddball engineering to make things work.

here it is on the bench, you can see the epoxy goober on the threaded fitting end if you look close...
