ok so i was able to swap the backing plates, so the handbrake levers look to be in the perfect spot now!

few more problems though.....

the part of the rear handbrake cable that has the two wires running to the handbrake lever seems to be 30mm too short or so. Are there different lengths for different 1200 models?

next, i've fitted new brake shoes and springs and everything but have realised that the rear right brake setup is also missing one of the brake shoe adjuster hands, can you replace these parts? if so where can you purchase from? (see pics) also what tool is good to loosen the square brake shoe adjuster bit, small spanner? (also see pics)

think thats all for now!

i bought this new cable:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3803846830 ... _trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

hasnt arrived yet but will let you know how it goes when it does come.

i've tried a cable off a h150 and the cable that i already had (dont know what its off) and both didnt fit. the h150 cable seemed to short where you adjust the cable (where front joins rear)

if you have some time over the next few days could you post a pic of where the mounting is on your h165 for the handbrake cable?

cheers

The h165 mounting point is further to passengers side I had to make a plate to make h145 cable work on H165 diff! Which diff do u have? I'll take a few pics of the h145 and h165 if that helps

yea few pics would be good when you get a chance!

think i got the h165 the axle shafts were approx 24mm+ just measured with a tape so couldnt get very accurate.

might try knock up a plate and see how that goes

all I did with my adjusters was give them a really good cleaning & soaking with WD-40 or penetrating oil to get them working properly, should work OK but new is always good too.

That cable looks like it'll fit as well.
