Interesting that it been said about looks to decide if its worth 30 thou.

well 3 years of valuing cars does for a start. Realistically if the body was mint, 20k would be fair and above reasonable.

Apart from wheels and engine (clean paint aside), there are not enough details to determine much further.

If its engenieered in NSw and sold in VIc, it will need to be reengenieered and there may be a potentail problem nodays. The car may have been reg and engeenieeered years ago in NSW, but after regulation changes etc with VIC roads and engenieers, they may not be able to re engenieer it now a days.

I never mentioned anything about the quality of the workmanship. Yes most of us here wouldnt pay 30k for it and i am the first to admit im a tight a$$, but also some members do know what it is worth realistically and 30k is not it to me.

i love that car . its tuff as and i think if the right person wanted it they would pay the money . try building a car like that for less . u wouldnt be able to unless u done the whole lot urself and even then it would come pretty close to that money anyway . i say good on him for having one of the tuffest utes i have ever seen . very clean car .

a tuff ute is mark bourne's ute, runs 8.8's with the CA in it. if this ute ran a time, it might help with the sale, but with 160 rwkw's, it might/should run a 12, i like the rear end and tray of this ute though. good luck with the sale.

26,000 still a bit he has probably spent that trying to recoupe it A mate sold his CA 1200 ute for 23 he acctually made 2 grand on the sale car cost him 21 to build My 1200 SR has had about 15K spent on top of the purchase price and its still not regestered yet
yeah and advice to anyone playing with engeneeres never take a word get it in writing always use a qualified guy and consult him on every thing you will be doing just want to save people like SR20yo from an expensive mistake.

im not sure what the fuss is about.

i dont think the wheels look good.

on paper the idea is awesome. but they seem too wide or just that theyre sitting too far out on the rear.

if they were sitting under the guards and the rear of the ute was lowered right down over the rim, now that would look awesome.

and the massive positive offset of the front wheels is dissapointing aswell.

my opinion aside, it looks like an extremely well built car, and would be an awesome thing to drive.

easily 30k to build

unfortunately not worth that much to sell

edit: my statement was a little harsh. rather than say i dont think they look good, i should have said i dont think they look nearly as good as they could

Yeah restamping... Not legit but that's your choice.
I wouldn't be pi$$ed off if it couldn't get rego, you said you didn't do much home work before hand. Your call. Best to consult engineer before if you want reg
