What im trying to find out is who you recommend for getting Twin Dellortos tuned when i fit up my new engine in a few weeks, im in the south east of Vic and i would rather it if i didnt have to drive to far to get them tuned so if there is any where aroud the Cheltenham area that you know of please let me know

Thanks in advance

I haven't been there in a few years, so I don't know if he's still there, but if he is, Brian Pope at 'link automotive' in thornton crescent mitcham (they are mostly mini/mg specialists but he is an absolute gun with weber/dellorto type carbs) is worth the effort. They typically won't dyno tune, they'll road tune, with exhaust gas sensors, for the most part, as what it does on the road is more important, relatively. To be fair you can get it done on a dyno too, but he'll tend to address driveability a bit more than the average bloke, not just best power at full throttle. .So you'll find, even on a circuit racer (let alone a streeter) it'll be much more stable mid corner and corner exit as you transition on the throttle than a lot of dyno tuned setups. He's also got enough experience that he can get the car within striking distance of the right setup _before_ it is taken out on the road/tested so there's less time/hassle involved in fine tuning it vs starting from practically a blank slate.

I vouch for Bryan and Peter at link. We're great with su,s too.
Their road testing is good. They don't thrash the car either its a gradual smooth passage through the rev range.
Not sure if bryan still around last time I called couple years ago Peter was there though.

Hans at hp products next door is great at making stuff too. If my mini wasn't written off I'm sure I wouldn't be here and I'm sure I'd have a 1100cc supercharged beast.

I'll vouch for Nigel at the carby shop (just of burwood highway near Knox city shopping centre). He fully rebuilt my twin gx carbys and is a wealth of knowledge on all things carby related.

As for Mammi motors, the Mammi brothers are in Somerville and are Datsun fanatics. There shop ute is a 1200 and they used to campaign a Sunny rally car. I know they are very familiar with Dellorto carbs as they tried to convince me they were a better option than the original gx ones I had.
