Which L you going for? Go an L18 or L20 maybe. L16 fun but a liilte more cube wouldn't hurt .

L16 good as lillte less weight in casting over the front wheelsApparently. Might be better in a ute with nothing over rear axle

2.4 stroker- the stanza sss box wont handle that at all. go get a 71 series stumpy off a r30 skyline (or stumpy box as they are known- possibly as 720 4wd)
they are good for a 6cyl should be good for a 2.4 stroker torque monster.
