throttle cable end?
Guest_
hi looking to find something like this pic ture below.
basically need to mod a longer throllte cable for my new intake manifold.
rc provided two cables from his stash- just need to get the right kind of connection on the end - same as stock a series one.

its been sugested to use solder but i think its too soft and will wear through eventually leaving me stranded.

i thought of something similar to this as i found a bolt and a was going to drill a hole through it for the cable. was going to get it brazed onto the end so cable wont move.

any sugestions or ideas that might help? dont really want to pay for a new cable again..... $70 odd.

apparently lawn mowers etc use these kind of things. worth a shot or not reliable enough?

I think its the same thing but i have one of these on my single sidedraft weber atm. Im just using the standard a series cable in my ute, the cable connects to this, so far ive had no issues, however i have just moved the return spring to a better position which as also made it a slightly firmer pull back. See how we go and ill let you know!

What you have put up in the picture is a safty end for emergency power cut offs in race cars, im sure if you had a look around at the likes of Meridian Motorsport and Revolution Race Gear or something like that near your place im sure you would be able to find something

We used them on the formula fords as throttle cable ends as well as the cable stops for the power switches
