Hey guys, so I'm currently re-doing the front suspension set up in my car. I will be using Datsun 180b struts and brakes. Who has done this before? As I believe I need to use different steering arms/tie rod ends? Any advice would be great cheers

What year is your 120Y?

If it has 45mm struts, then what you need is a Strut-Accepting Package for 2" struts.

180B (Datsun 610) struts are 2 inches in diameter.

Most 120Y struts are 45 mm in diameter. However if it doesn't have the standard ones, it may already be set up for the 2" kind.

Has anyone documented what Australia-market 120Ys have? I only have the Japan-market parts catalog (in Japanese) but the A12-powered JDM model seems to be the same as 120Y models, except for the Australia-assembled bits (e.g. seats, diff and tailshaft).

Yeah the car now has the 2inch 180b ones but it doesn't sit right I've fitted ultra low springs for ride height but I need to fix the camber issue. The inside of the Tyres only just touches the road. So maybe different steering arms?

Different steering arms won't change the camber.

To change the Camber you have a few choices:

1. If it is fitted with Stanza balljoints, fit late B120 balljoints. It will bring the bottom of the tires in.

2. Use adjustable struts tops to bring the top of the strut out

3. Shorten the LCA (or redrill or slot the crossmember mounting points to mount it further in)
