1984-1986 Mazda 929 has a 65A Mitsubishi alternator with inbuilt regulator. I know some have used it in their 1200. What is involved in fitting this to an A12?

* Pulley - v-belt and correct distance?
* Mounting points - is it a bolt-on? or modify the bracket?
* Fan belt - is a longer one needed?
* Wiring - just wire up like an Datsun 1200 LR135

Is it safer on the finger?

1982-1983 929 50A units (USA) have 80mm between the ears (same as Datsun 1200 unit)

80 mm ear spacing (same as 1200)
13 mm flange (same as 1200)

1983 Estate has v-belt pulley
Fan belt center: 29mm from front bolt face (same as 1200)

1982-1983 has ribbed-belt pulley instead of V-belt pulley
Fan belt center: 25mm from front bolt face (Shorter)

Both have RL plug (PLUG192) which is electrically same as Datsun 1200 LR135 (LS, internally regulated) wiring.
