Hey gang,
Have you ever hear of Rally Struts for a 1200? How are they different than the normal stock ones? I have a line on a pair of em and all I know is that they are sposed to be Heavy Duty. What can you tell me? Were they some kind of option? Are they as good as the famed Stanza struts?
Thanks guys

I haven't heard of that brand, but struts are like shock absorbers. There are performance-oriented ones for the 1200, sometimes adjustable (Koni, Bilstein, etc -- no longer made).
Are the ones you've been offered strut inserts (cartridges) or actually new strut pieces?

Possibly factory competition components. Nissan did offer a line of rally option components, they called the the ones used for rally, Rally Struts, surprisingly.
I can't give you the exact specs, as I lent my competition components book out and it hasn't come back yet.
I think they were still based around the 210 strut

Hey Guys,
Sorry for not being clear, Davie is headed the right direction though, lol.
These are supposed to be factory nissan "Rally Struts" complete units to bolt in including brakes etc... They are not brand new. I have never heard of this stuff and the guy cant remember if the brakes are same as stock or better, or even what is different about them from stock, just that they are "Factory" Rally Struts. Does anyone know about these things? Davie, any chance you will be getting the book back soon to have a look for me?
Thanks guys, It sure is great to be able to ask this stuff from experts like yourself. Your comments are very much appreciated.

If they are factory rally struts they were marketed by nismo. They came with standard platforms in base models. Sunny part numbers (RH 54302-H5920 LH 54303 - H5920). I dont have the original 1200 part numbers handy. They had adjustable platforms in stage 2 models shock rates were matched to the spring rates.
