Guys got another ?Will a CA 5 speed gearbox put up with 5-700hp or does that start getting into needing a decent auto.

Ill be buying a Lewis race prepd motor in a little while there's many good words on there motors and easy to buy :) good value I think as my tuner quoted without labour was looking at 4~5g

if you have bald tires yes it will. Use slicks at the track gearbox blown. z32 box + adapter plate is good option if want to keep it 5 speed

Yeah i have looked at them and they do have reasonable prices,Im talking to John from JC racing in Sydney he can do me a billet block,billet crank with all the goodies for 10g and will produce 6-1000 hp.Very tempting but is this to much for a street car that will see the strip every so often?

billet block my ass. would cost 15g just for the block

Ah ok i thought they where only around the 5g mark,apparently theirs a guy in Costa Rico that does them for the Ca.

I think they have led you On a bit.really don't think ull see 500hp out of 10g let alone 1000 with a ca

if someone has already made one thats a different story. 500hp isnt to hard these days

You right bur you also don't get much for 10g these days 2000 turbo 2000 computer 1500 rad+intercooler 1000 exhaust.theres 6500 just to start with out and machining or internal part or labour.id be budgeting easy 15 for the motor for that power mcdat
