im interested to see how this goes..

im not a fan of autos (at all) but in this application it could be fun
do you think the big jatco will zap a lot of power from it?

The truth is the clutch wasn't cutting it and to change too a stronger clutch I still had a weak gearbox couldn't justify $$$$ for clutch, mod flywheel, pressureplate ect then buy another gearbox
As i never dumped the clutch on the old set-up it should perform around the same we will have to see to confirm,as for power im trying to stay with the stock converter....most converter business tend to increase the slip to create stall, that's where huge loss are found a tight stall shouldn't induce as big flare and pass more power.
Ange your right it is a big box i have it sitting next a V8 c4 the jatcos main body is much larger

cheers anthony

Hi guys just a quick update "no" I have not lost interest in the little 120y,The new set up with the round port head and Holley was installed .

whilst tuning for e85 a fault with the power valve allowed the Fuel pump to over run and fill the manifold with a belly full of fuel the engine hydraulic locked and lifted the head.....so Im finally back on track and starting a new tune

cheers anthony

Yes was surprised the engine came out without any damage all pistons clocked up the same with deck height, compression is all the same the new round port head has changed the exhaust note along with the carby .
A little more mucking around with a air bleed size's and we should be getting close

Engine is up and running with all the N/a work done, Im really happy with Holley so far the jet's are massive and the engine sounds completely different it hungry to rev and does it bloody quickly.

This isn't a std holley although it once was it's been heavily modified by myself and is fully tuneable I must admit im really chuffed so far and can't wait for the next stage to see what it does
cheers anthony
