I can't beat the price of Maddat's stainless brace, but I can get these in at $125.00 USD.

wheel side brace plate not shown but it's part of the setup.

What benefits would this give you over the maddat item?

I'm assuming it would be slightly stiffer, but would it be a noticeable improvement over maddat's to justify the extra bit of cash?

Its just based on what people want to buy. Go with a Stainless Maddat one or buy a billet aluminum one. Both items would work as what they are intended. Options are available and it just comes down to preference.

I saw that as an issue so the holes are slotted slightly for adjustment, but 10mm is in need of a sandwich shim.
