Speak with engineer but rad was from a holden ute 3core i bought off datsunbeginer.
use a ca or sr alloy one or s13 stock one. Can fit easily between chasis rails. Measure twice fit once.
yes front was trimmed for max airflow. wasnt neat as most of my stuff but functional.

very interested in this post as I am up to this stage as well. I am only using a L16. so I hope I don't have too many dramas.

Got the tunnel to move about half of what I need using hammers.
Got the grinder out to cut L sections.
Hammered some more and its almost an r30 home.
Had a good look at the shaft on the r30 today. Looks a little different to the 4 speed that was attached to the L20b. The shaft that extends from the spline is shorter.
Any ideas?
