Donk?? I guess you mean engine.

Well the engine is fine, just needs a new carby i think. Possibly off a Cortina, but what model cortina do i need to get a carb off? Thinking to start more on body work first.

What is the best way to treat rusted sections? Ive removed the rust, but behind (for example just back from the rear wheel arch) ive grinded the rust off there, do i need to treat it with anything ?

hey dude stick in your details and location so we can help you better with parts places workshops and other questions, but until then go out hunting for an 2L escort or cortina for a 32/36 DGV webber and get the adaptor plate from your local auto parts store. good to hear about another 120Y owner doing up a dat, i have a coupe which for 1200RC's info is also a sexy vehicle. the coupe and 2 dr had it goin on

Ok, the 32/36 webber from a 2L escort, or cortina will just bolt on with the adaptor plates, with no mods to the carb at all? Will it increase engine performance at all?

Just do a search on 32/36 Weber and you find a lot of information, I did the swap recently and found a couple of problems but you can see my thread the problems and solutions of swapping carbs.

Go and have a read at this article as well
