Greetings,

I am looking to get a pair of DHLA 40's for my 1974 120Y, I found an auction selling some 40's that have been re-bored to 42 and was wondering if finding spares (butterflies, pumps, trumpets, etc) for them would be possible, or would i need to have custom parts made. Here is some info from the auction:

Matching pair of 40's bored to 42mm with custom butterflies
Modified bigger accelerator pumps
Bored out trumpets
Current chokes 28's & jetting only place holders but would be ok for a 1200cc mildly modified motor.

My goal would be to have the carbs tuned in the same fashion as the SSS (http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawiki/?title=Dellorto)

Would I be better off keeping my eyes open for a pair of matching stock 40's?

Thanks for your help!

28mm chokes are ideal for a stock A12, and they are a pair. Why not get those?

They do sound good, I just don't understand the re-boring process well enough - if they have been re-bored does that mean the stock dellorto parts for a DHLA 40 will no longer fit?
