If you were going to use just map and an IAT where would you plumb in the stock manifold to the map sensor?

When I used a MAP sensor, I plumbed it to the stock manifold. The A15 manifold has many vacuum port including two small ones and one or two big ones and the PCV port.

Often a MAP sensor is bolted to the firewall, run a hose from it to the vacuum

You can use the stock A15 air cleaner & filter. Drill a hole and insert the air temp sensor.

For a speed-density system, you need
* speed measurement, connect the distributor points or tach signal to the ECU
* density measurement, using MAP along with air temp sensor

Then you have to build a map of all the speed-density point, like a 16x16 map. Might use a generic basemap to start with and then with the EGO/O2 sensor readouts the ECU can adjust the map (self-tune). Which is not as easy as it sounds, there are a lot of steps to make this happen

Also use a water temp sensor so the ECU knows when the engine is cold. This bolts right to the cylinder head -- front or rear threaded boss is a good location

Thanks David.. but then how would the plumbing work coming off the throttle body at the end of the efi manifold..

Good idea re the water temp sensor :)

Oh, if you are using the factory EGI manifold, just drill a hole in the rubber connector and bolt the Temp Sensor to it using two washers to seal the hole

If you aren't using the AFM you don't even need to worry about sealing the hole, the GM guys just jam the sensor in a hole cut in the plastic ducting of the air cleaner

That's the Caprice they are selling here, actually the WM. Haven't seen any in the wreckers, but they only started selling in 2011

Yikes, only $20 for a 4-wire Denso 2344668 2003-2014 GM $25 at Wal-Mart

I'm thinking the A/F Ratio Sensor is not stock, but only a regular O2 sensor. Maybe someone upgraded that WL before it got wrecked?
