The picture is of a 1972 B110. In 1972 they got a Facelift. The consoles look the same, but may be black, silver or gold colored

The PB110 console differs. It doesn't have heater vents at the bottom and is longer, going under the hand brake lever

This is where things get confusing. DD you say that the one picture on page one of this thread is a B110? However all of my other wiki research tells me that the double hump dash (Pictured) was exclusive to the Sunny Excellent (PB110)?

Your saying the console pictured on page one is also NOT a PB110 but a 1200 Facelift B110.

So what is the car pictured on page one?

It was my understanding that the 'double hump' dash pad was exclusive to the Sunny Excellent. However there was a Sunny Excellent 'GL' which had a clock and 160kph speedo but there was also a Sunny Excellent 'GX' which had the tacho and 180kph?

Both had facelifts, but the Excellent (PB110) GL and GX is not to be confused with the Sunny 1200 (B110) GL & GX which had single humped dash?

Am I correct?

Because what you said in Post #11 negates this?

yours is the traditional understanding

Here are some new information (see Facelift Dash)

* Per the factory parts catalogs, 1971 PB110 uses same dash and dash pad as 1970-1971 B110

Now in looking at many photos
* Some 1972 dash look like single hump
* Some 1972 dash look like double hump
It may just depend on the angle the photo was taken. What we need is a 1972 PB110 parts catalog, then we'd know for sure

The top of the 1972 dash is flat, and the humps extend forward

Here is the B110 dashes (not PB110) from the factory parts catalogs

Ah! That's what I thought! There was some conflicting information in the wiki here and there and I was too starting to believe that the double hump dash was used on all (PB110 and B110) 1972 onward!

So it is quite possible that a double hump dash may very well have come from a 1972 Sunny B110? The parts catalog picture from B110 you posted above for 1972 certainly is a double hump dash!

Yep clears it up perfectly. So if I were to acquire a B110 Full console which was black, I could 'tint' it by color match painting?

The materials are no different?

It is a GX-5 Datsun 1200. Note the B110 console, 1972 Coupe door cards, 1972 dash, GX steering wheel, and GX5 seats and GX5 shift knob. More photos at GX-5 Photo Features

here is same car looking like a single-hump dash

Apparently so, but only 1972 JDM B110s came with the updated dash

I reckon so ... they appear to be made out of the same plastic
