B210s down under use 45mm struts. Their B210 are A12-powered and are badged "120Y". USA B210s are A14-powered and use larger suspension. Both types were sold in the Japan market

David,

Good morning.

I'm speaking with a man in Australia about some extra struts he has.

But according to your text need to make sure they are the right diameter.

Will let you know.

PS:

Bprojects in Japan has them but won't internationally send them.

AUS B210 strut inserts fit the 1200

I've bought parts from Bprojects and they internationally send them -- that's their whole business. Shipping is expensive

Yes, those are mentioned 4 posts up

generally speaking:
* B210 shocks fit 1200s (sedan fits sedan, coupe fits coupe)
* B210 strut inserts fit 1200 if they are 120Y inserts
* unfortunately they never sold 120Y (A12-powered B210) in USA, we only got the bigger B210 with larger struts, which use inserts way too big to fit into 1200 struts

Are you saying rear shocks for a 120y will fit my 1200 sedan?

Yes. B210 (including 120Y) Sedan rear shocks fit B110 Sedan rear. Coupe shocks do not fit Sedan

This is Roger again from southern california.

I'm in your spare strut cartridges

Did you receive my previous text sent a few weeks ago?

How much do you want for them?

They need to be 45mm in diameter not the 50 mm.

My 1200 is '72 and I I'v been told the 55mm wont fit.

Thanks

Hi David,

This is Roger from southern California again.

Hope I don't sound like a broken record about my need.

I need your suggestion in trying to reach a person on Datsun1200.com

He returned my text of needing those front strut cartridges sayng he had a new pair of KYB's that would fit.

I've left a few messages in the last 3 weeks with no response.

I can I tell he received them?

Is there any other way I could possibly reach him?

He lives in Port Douglas QLD.

He been with the webpage since 2012; goes by the name "Home Away From Home". His user
name is mrbarista.

Suggestions?

The best way to reach mrbarista is to send a PM

However if he doesn't answer promptly then you might consider purchasing the strut inserts from another seller

* Genuine Nissan 1200 sold here: Datsun 1200 Asia mail order, change quantity to 2, click the Add to Cart, click Checkout and use Paypal for payment

* 1979-1981 Nissan Pulsar inserts sold in Australia/New Zealand

* 1200 or Pulsar units made by Monroe Australia (stiffer than stock)

The Pulsar units may need a spacer fitted, if they are shorter than yours you can stack washers to make up the difference

Have you tried changing the oil in your struts? That often fixes them right up without needing to buy new inserts. If the problem you are trying to fix is bouncy shocks, new oil should fix it

Hi David,

Roger from Southern California.

Have waited with no response from the gentleman in Australia who said he has the strut cartridges I need. He was suppose to let me know how much it would cost for shipping but never heard from him.

I have a friend of mine who can get KYB cartridges, if they're available, from any place in the world. My discussions with you in the past has been around the size of the cartridge that I need. It's for a B1 10.

Therefore, the reason why I'm getting back to you, is this how can I find out what the KYB number is for my cartridge? You have said that it's different for a B210 which is 50 mm in diameter than my B110 (1972) which is suppose to be 45mm. I've looked on this website and haven't found that information to confirm. I've also called KYB and their catalogs do not go back that far.

Would you happen to know what the KYB number is for my B110 cartridge? Would really appreciate it.
