Wheel spacers are allowed in SCCA road racing and NHRA drag racing. Nissan competition even sold them

Great thats awesome to know. Thanks DD. Also I just noticed that they might be 3 piece rims (confirming it with manufacturer), and they have the same number of bolts around as the xxr 538 which is the same size and width but with a +0 offset. So i might be able to mix the middles and get the look I want with the +0 offset with 1"flares.

If you have V8-levels of torque, such as a built turbo CA18DET (300 ft. lbs.), yes very important to keep the chassis from wearing out. If drag racing with medium torque (such as QR25DE) important for consistent chassis reaction. Helps with road racing by letting the suspension work instead of the chassis flexing. Otherwise, not important

Found out that the rims are 1 piece cast. Bummer but not the worst news. Anyway thanks for the advice on the roll cage. I do plan on welding the seams during the resto anyway. So I probably wont right now. If I decide to build up a motor and put a supercharger or turbo on it, then I will roll cage it first. But the goal right now is to get it running, cancer free, and a weekend driver. Im sure i will have more quetions later lol
