I believe all H165 diff heads are interchangeable

Gear Carrier Assembly (a.k.a. pumpkin, "center section" or "diff head")

Early diff head bolts into late axle housing and vice-versa

H165 gear sets don't interchange between early and late diff heads
Early carrier requires early-type Gear set (CWP/R&P)
